Sansome Street

I Tried a different way home tonight. I decided to walk along Sansome Street up to market from where I caught the MUNI. Compared to walking along the Embarcadero it's quite urban until I hit the financial district where we used to be at work.

I'll probably try going in to work this way in the morning as the walk seems to be a little shorter than the Embarcadero route.

We'll see.

Muni Platform

Today was our first day in our new offices at the Embarcadero in San Francisco. We're right on the Bayside by pier 39 in the heart of tourist-land. After a frantic day getting everything back up and running I decided to chill out at the gym. It was quite a late session and this is what the station platform looked like as I waited for my train home!

Yesterday was a glorious day in wine country enjoying wine-tasting on the terrace of the Domaine Carneros winery in Napa Valley

Moving On

Playtime

This evening we went along to the Azul bar for our last drink there as our "local" office bar. Our office is moving to the Embarcadero and we will no longer be able to nip up to Azul for a quick one after work.

We're moving to some very nice offices that are positioned smack in the middle of San Francisco tourist country and it will be quite strange for many people for a while. Coming from London I think I'll find it tio be very much home from home.

We all spent much of today packing as well as trying to get work done so that the movers can come in tomorrow and start taking all our things to the new location.

Beach Noir

Found this beautiful black sanded beach last Saturday. It's on the East Bay in the Marin Headlands and it is really beautiful and secluded. Read a magazine for a while and just sat on a rock enjoying the sound of the ocean as the waves ebbed and flowed.

Did The Earth Move For You?

I was woken up yesterday morning at about 04:30 am by an earthquake. It's the 4th I've felt since I've been living out here. It's been a tough week at work and I'm so glad it's the weekend now. The weather is great at the moment although we had some rain on Wednesday morning which was a record since no rain had fallen at this time of the year here since the 1800's!
