Lake Tahoe Gets A Definite Thumbs-up

We've been at Lake Tahoe since yesterday after having a beautiful drive down from San Francisco. It's very beautiful here and well worth the drive. Today we did a "tourist" trip and took a paddle boat ride on the Lake to Emerald Bay. It was an absolutely stunning, picture, perfect day for the trip.

After the 2 hour trip we decided to drive all the way around the Lake. We are staying at South Lake. When we reached North Lake and on into Nevada we realizes the true beauty of the the Lake Tahoe Area.

There is already quite a bit of snow around but not really enough for serious skiing and the roads are all still clear. A few icy patches but nothing treacherous.

It's really bizarre how as soon as you cross the Nevada state line it's just suddenly wall to wall casinos!

It was really a beautiful day. After lots of lovely fresh air and lots of natural beauty, we went back to our Hotel in the evening and watched "The Devil wears Prada".

Well, why not?

Sausalito

Went to the Horizon restaurant in Sausalito and had lunch overlooking the bay. Yet another beautiful Decembers day. After we got some tea for Antonella, we sat by the bay and watched a guy balancing rocks!!. Sounds odd but surprisingly therapeutic to watch.

Late in the afternoon we went to one of the shopping Malls to pick out some things for Antonella before making our way back home.

Pre Thanksgiving

We all met up at the Omni Hotel at California and montgomery today for a Pre-Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Lunch laid on by the office.

It still feels wierd to be having a turkey dinner with all the trimmings in Novemeber! Wierd but fun.

Service Charge

Took the car in for a service today - absolutely unbelievable. A BMW 328i Convertible including parts - $75 !!!!

November Sunshine

Took the day off work today to get some relaxation in. It was a beautiful day. I drove across the Golden Gate Bridge and spent time along the Marin headlands overlooking the Bay and the ocean. It was really amazing with the sun, the ocean and an easy breeze. Afterward I went down to Sausalito and wondered around the town a nd shops before driving back home.

A Chair is just a chair

Went to the Antiques market in Alameda with Tosha and Adriana. It was a beautifully sunny day. Who would've believed we'd be driving around with the top down in a t-shirt on the 05th November!

I found a chair for my hallway project in our apartment. It's not what I originally had in mind but this should work really well.

Tosha managed to fit it into his jeep for the trip back to San Francisco. In the evening we went out for drinks but this time we only had to go up one floor to spend the evening with another of our neighbours
